How Budget Proxies compares with other providers
One thing to know first: this page comes from us, not from an outside reviewer, so naturally it tells our side. We have still tried to be fair. Below, our prices, billing, contracts and support sit next to the providers people often consider, along with the times another provider may suit you better.
Side by side: what you get for your money
Each row is one thing worth checking before you pay anyone. A tick means yes and a cross means no.

Each column sums up what that kind of provider typically advertises, as a general guide rather than a promise. Plans and prices elsewhere change a lot, so look at each provider’s current terms on its own website before choosing.
Before you pay anyone: six things to check
The headline price is only part of the story. Run every provider, us included, through these six checks first. If you would like more help deciding, our guide to choosing a proxy explains it step by step.
The real total, not the "from" price
A "from" price is the lowest figure a provider can show you. Find out whether you buy data by the gigabyte (GB) or sign up for a monthly subscription with a minimum spend. Setup fees, overage charges (extra fees for going over an allowance) and automatic renewals all add up, so the plan that looks cheaper can end up costing more.
The right type for your job
No single kind of IP suits every task. Datacenter IPs come from servers and are quick and low-cost, residential IPs come from real homes and more websites accept them, and mobile IPs come from phone networks. If a provider sells all three, you can match the type to the job instead of paying for more than you need.
The countries you actually need
More locations and a bigger pool of addresses give you more choice and fresher IPs. Look at how many countries are offered, then check that the exact ones you need are on the list.
Will it work with your app?
Protocols are the "languages" a proxy speaks. Look for HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 support, plus a way of signing in that fits how you work: a username and password works from any device, while IP whitelisting suits a computer or server whose address stays the same.
Can you start on your own?
Can you sign up and get going within minutes, or do you have to ask for a quote and sit through a demo call first? Being able to set everything up yourself, straight away, is a good sign that a provider is built for ordinary customers.
Help, contracts and where the IPs come from
Can you reach a human whenever you are stuck, day or night? Could you walk away tomorrow, or would a contract hold you? Did the owners of the residential and mobile connections agree to share them? Questions like these get more important the longer you stay with a provider.
Paying per GB or paying monthly: which suits a small project?
The way you are billed can matter more than the price per GB. You will meet two models, and this is why Budget Proxies went with pay-as-you-go.
Pay per GB (how we charge)
Pick how many gigabytes you want, then use them any time within a fixed 30-day window. The data you order is all you pay for. Need more? Top up. Need less next month? Just buy less; there’s no plan to change.
- ✓No monthly plan, and no minimum to reach
- ✓No setup fee and no surprise renewals
- ✓You know the price per GB before you start
- ✓Good for on-off, seasonal or one-time projects
Monthly subscriptions & commitments
Lots of providers want you on a monthly plan, or to spend a set amount. That can work if you use plenty of data every month, but the risk sits with you: you pay for the whole allowance even in a quiet month.
- •You may have to spend a fixed amount each month
- •Unused data might not roll over to next month
- •Discounts usually depend on committing to more data
- •Works best when usage is high and steady
Why paying as you go suits small projects
A small project’s data use tends to bounce around. It jumps during a busy week, a school assignment or a holiday sale, then drops again. Paying as you go lets your spending rise and fall with it, instead of you funding a big allowance all year round. Using less one month costs you nothing extra, and there is nothing to cancel. If you use a large amount of data every single month, a committed plan elsewhere might cost a little less; for most smaller or irregular projects, paying only for what you buy is simpler and often cheaper. Our proxy calculator shows what your own usage would cost.
Rough starting prices for residential proxies
The lowest “from” price each provider advertised for residential proxies when we wrote this page.
Bear in mind that a proxy seller (us) put this list together, not an outside reviewer. The figures are rough: they come from each provider’s publicly advertised entry prices at the time of writing, may well have changed since, and appear the way each provider advertises them.
Our prices, all in one place
Each type has one price per GB, shown up front. There are no tiers to decode and nothing to sign, and every order lasts a fixed 30 days.
Datacenter
IPs that live on servers rather than in homes. Easy on the budget, and good for practice, testing and simple websites.
Learn moreResidential
IPs from real home connections. Pick these when the country matters or a website is choosy about its visitors.
Learn moreMobile
4G/5G phone-network IPs, for apps and websites built mainly for phones.
Learn moreResidential Premium
Our selected home-IP pool for tricky websites, when fewer failed attempts matter more than the price.
Learn moreWhich type should I pick?
If you are not sure, residential is a sensible all-rounder, and datacenter costs less when the website is a simple one. All four types are on sale here, so you never have to pay for more than the job needs.
Datacenter proxies
Starter pickIPs that belong to cloud and hosting firms, not households. They cost less than the other types and suit simple, high-volume jobs on straightforward websites.
Residential proxies
All-rounderAddresses from real home broadband. Websites see an ordinary visitor from that country, so this is the safe all-round choice when location matters.
Mobile proxies
Phone networksIPs handed out by mobile phone networks (4G/5G). Choose these for apps, phone-first websites and anything that expects a mobile connection.
Residential Premium
Tricky sitesA selected residential pool for stubborn websites, where a request that works first time matters more than the price.
The technical bits, explained simply
You don’t need to be technical to use our proxies, but here is what the main terms mean.
What a protocol is
All four types work with HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. Think of these as the languages your app uses to talk to the proxy. Browsers and most apps understand at least one of them, so you rarely need anything extra.
SOCKS5 vs HTTPS →Rotating or sticky?
Rotating gives you a new IP address for each request, which suits lots of separate page visits. Sticky keeps the same IP for a while, which you need when a website has to remember you from one page to the next.
Rotating vs sticky →Signing in to your proxy
Use a username and password, which works from any device, or IP whitelisting, where you give us your own internet address and connections from it get in without a password. You can change your mind later in the dashboard.
Proxy auth explained →Countries, delivery and getting started
Choose from a wide spread of countries and set everything up yourself, so you can be up and running within minutes.
Countries to choose from
You choose the country in your dashboard, and none of them costs extra. Our locations page lists them all, region by region.
Delivery
Once your payment goes through, the details you need to connect show up in your dashboard. You don’t have to talk to anyone first.
Getting started
Sign up, pick a type, add credit and set it up yourself, at whatever time of day suits you.
Help when you get stuck
A low price isn’t worth much if nobody answers when something goes wrong. Ours comes with real people and a network that aims to stay up.
Real people, any day
You can write to us any day, including weekends and holidays. Beginner questions are welcome, before you buy and after.
Uptime we aim for
We aim for 99.9% network availability, so your jobs keep running and your sessions stay steady.
Contracts and refunds, in plain English
The terms you agree to matter as much as the proxies you buy, so we keep ours short and readable.
No paperwork
Orders are pay-as-you-go and each one lasts a fixed 30 days. You never sign an agreement or cancel anything, so stopping is as simple as not ordering again.
No minimum, no subscription
You don’t have to spend a minimum amount, no subscription ticks away in the background, and setting up costs nothing. Order data while a project is running, and nothing while it is paused.
Read the refund rules first
We show you the terms before you pay. Have a look at our refund policy page before you buy anything.
Whose IPs are these, and is my traffic logged?
Fair questions to put to any provider, us included. Here are our answers.
People agreed to take part
Our residential and mobile IPs come from genuine networks where every participant agreed to share their connection, which is what “consent-based sourcing” means. It is fairer to the people whose connections are used, and it keeps the pool healthy for longer.
No traffic logs
We don’t record which sites you visit or the data you send through our network. The only details we hold are the ones needed to run your account and charge for your GB.
Please use our proxies lawfully: stick to publicly available data, follow the terms of service of each website you visit, and keep to any law that applies where you are.
Who we built this for
Pay-as-you-go pricing and all four proxy types in one place suit a lot of small, legitimate projects without much fuss. Our industries page has more ideas, sorted by sector.
Hobby data projects
Collecting public data for a personal or student project, using rotating IPs and whichever type suits each website.
Small online sellers
Checking what your products, and similar ones, cost in other countries, using home IPs from those countries.
Checking your own adverts
Seeing your ads the way someone in another place sees them, on a computer or on a phone.
Search results abroad
Checking how your website or shop ranks in another country's search results.
Keeping an eye on your brand
Watching marketplaces in other countries for listings that copy your products or misuse your name.
Students & first-timers
Buying a few GB, learning how proxies work and stopping whenever you like, with no contract.
More sites that compare proxy providers
Each of these sites lines up several proxy providers so you can compare prices, features and performance in one place. Use them, and this page, as a starting point, then confirm today’s prices and terms on the provider’s own website before paying.
What you can expect from Budget Proxies
Pay only for the data you order
Prices start at $2.49/GB. You won't be put on a subscription, asked for a minimum, or sent a surprise bill at the end of the month.
Nothing that ties you in
You sign nothing and pay nothing to set up. Each order runs for a fixed 30 days, and buying again is entirely your choice.
All four types in one place
One dashboard covers datacenter, residential, mobile and residential premium in 55+ countries, and each type speaks HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5.
Start straight away
The moment your payment is confirmed, your proxy details are ready in the dashboard. Nobody phones you, and there is no "ask for a quote" form.
Help from real people, 24/7
Weekends and holidays included, and no question is too basic to ask. We still answer after you have paid, too.
IPs shared by choice, and no logs
Every residential and mobile IP comes from someone who said yes to sharing their connection. We don't log your traffic either, so what you do stays your own business.
Honestly, we are not the right fit for everyone
We would rather you chose the right provider than chose us by mistake. For some jobs, a company that specialises in them is the better choice. These are the main ones.
You need something specialised
Perhaps your project needs an unusual type of network, a service that does the scraping for you, or enterprise software connected deep inside your own systems. A provider that focuses on that one thing will usually serve you better than a simple self-service shop like ours.
You use huge amounts of data every month
Using lots of data, and roughly the same amount every month? Then a subscription somewhere else could cost less per GB. Try a few amounts in our calculator first; when your usage goes up and down, paying as you go is usually the better deal.
Your company needs formal paperwork
Some organisations can only buy with a signed enterprise contract, a custom SLA (service-level agreement), a named account manager or particular compliance documents. If your company works that way, a provider organised around enterprise purchasing will probably suit you better.
You want to look at more providers
That is why this page links to other comparison and review sites further up, so you can see more of the market side by side. Offers change all the time, so double-check the current price and terms on each provider’s own website as well.
If you are just starting out, want clear per-GB prices and would rather not sign a contract, we think Budget Proxies is well worth a try.
