Paris proxies, made simple
With a Paris IP, French websites load in French and show prices in euros, and local search results come close to what Parisians see. France keeps Central European Time.

A Paris IP for newcomers: flat adverts, flea markets and what stays the same
Weekend flea markets, flat adverts that must show a reference rent, and shops 'near me': a lot of Paris life is easier to research when sites think you're local. They guess where you are from your IP address, a number every connection carries. A Paris proxy, a middleman server in the city, passes your traffic on so they see Paris, while your bank card, phone number and each site's rules stay the same.
Reading a Paris flat advert
Property sites open from anywhere, though a Paris IP may put local agencies and listings first. Paris has had rent control since July 2019, and adverts must show the reference rent plus any extra charged on top, called a complément de loyer. Check both before agreeing to anything.
Weekend markets
Flea markets and attic sales, called brocantes and vide-greniers, pop up around Paris most weekends, and many listing sites sort them by distance. With a Paris IP, a search like 'brocante ce week-end' brings up nearby dates rather than events near your real location.
Getting connected
When you order, choose France and then Paris, where the city is offered for your proxy type. Type the host, port, username and password into your browser or phone settings, then open any IP-lookup site: it should name Paris or a town right beside it.
Where it stops helping
A Paris IP won't make museum tickets cheaper or move you up a booking queue. Free entry for young EU residents at national museums depends on the ID you show at the door, not on your connection, and each site's own rules keep applying.

Local broadband and mobile networks
Which type should I pick?
You buy data by the gigabyte (GB). Unsure? Residential covers most local checks.
Residential Premium
Selected residential IPs. For stricter sites.
Quick start in three steps
- 1 Buy a little data first
- 2 Choose the location
- 3 Connect, then test it
First time? The setup guide walks through each step, and our IP checker shows when it's working.
Good to know first
- Types. Residential and mobile IPs come from home broadband and phone networks; datacenter IPs come from servers. Residential, explained →
- Connections. Every type works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. What those are →
- Sessions. A sticky session keeps one IP for a while, which suits logins. A rotating one changes it on every request, which suits long lists of public pages. Which do I need? → Static proxies →
- Limits. Only your IP changes, not your language settings, your clock or who you are when signed in.
- The rules. Stay within the law that applies to you and each site's terms of service. Acceptable use policy →
