Kaziukas crafts, Trakai trips and Smart-ID: what a Vilnius IP can and can't help with
Plainly put, a Vilnius proxy is a computer in Lithuania's capital that relays your browsing, so websites see an address in Vilnius rather than your own. Lithuanian sites then show local events, weather and offers first. It's handy for planning a weekend in the Old Town, following city news, or making sure a site you built for Lithuanian customers shows the right language and euro prices. Many larger sites offer English beside Lithuanian.
Kaziukas Fair in early March
Around St Casimir's Day in early March, the Kaziukas Fair fills Old Town streets with crafts stalls, wooden spoons and verbos, the dried-flower palms made for Palm Sunday. Local sites post the dates and street plan, and a Vilnius IP helps them appear in your searches.
Trakai by bus or train
Trakai Island Castle, west of the city, is the classic day trip, reached by regional bus or train. Timetables and castle opening hours are published online in Lithuanian and English, and browsing from Vilnius brings the local timetable pages up quickly.
Getting started
You make three choices: proxy type, country and city. Pick Lithuania and Vilnius, then copy the server's address and port into your browser, along with a username and password unless you've whitelisted your home IP. If everything is right, an IP-check page will name Vilnius.

Local broadband and mobile networks
Which type should I pick?
You buy data by the gigabyte (GB). Unsure? Residential covers most local checks.
Residential Premium
Selected residential IPs. For stricter sites.
Quick start in three steps
- 1 Buy a little data first
- 2 Choose the location
- 3 Connect, then test it
First time? The setup guide walks through each step, and our IP checker shows when it's working.
Good to know first
- Types. Residential and mobile IPs come from home broadband and phone networks; datacenter IPs come from servers. Residential, explained →
- Connections. Every type works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. What those are →
- Sessions. A sticky session keeps one IP for a while, which suits logins. A rotating one changes it on every request, which suits long lists of public pages. Which do I need? → Static proxies →
- Limits. Only your IP changes, not your language settings, your clock or who you are when signed in.
- The rules. Stay within the law that applies to you and each site's terms of service. Acceptable use policy →
