Athens proxies, made simple
Athens is Greece's capital. Greek sites use the Greek alphabet, so searching like a local means typing in Greek; prices are in euros.

Using an Athens IP: ferry news, heatwave hours and what's on
Think of a proxy as a borrowed doorway: your traffic leaves through a server in Athens, so Greek websites greet you as if you were in the city. Athens weather, events and shop offers then come first. It's useful for planning a holiday, reading local news before a trip, or previewing your own shop's Greek page the way a customer in Athens would. Pages default to Greek, and most travel sites offer English.
Ferry news before island trips
Ferries to the islands leave mainly from Piraeus, with others from Rafina and Lavrio. Timetables are the same for everyone, but sailings can be hit by seamen's strikes or strong summer meltemi winds, and Greek news sites cover those changes in detail. A local IP brings those stories up quickly.
Heatwave hours
During summer heatwaves the Acropolis has closed in the hottest part of the day. The culture ministry and Greek news sites announce such changes, and with an Athens IP those local announcements tend to rank higher in your results.
Getting connected
Choose a proxy type, pick Greece, then Athens, and type in the host and port your dashboard shows. Log in with a username and password, or whitelist your IP, which means telling the service to trust your home connection. Then check an IP lookup page shows Athens.
Limits to keep in mind
Reduced tickets at archaeological sites are checked against ID at the gate, not your connection, and ferry or museum prices don't change with your IP. An Athens IP won't open Greek tax or banking services either, which need your own credentials, and each site's own rules still bind you.

Local broadband and mobile networks
Which type should I pick?
You buy data by the gigabyte (GB). Unsure? Residential covers most local checks.
Residential Premium
Selected residential IPs. For stricter sites.
Quick start in three steps
- 1 Buy a little data first
- 2 Choose the location
- 3 Connect, then test it
First time? The setup guide walks through each step, and our IP checker shows when it's working.
Good to know first
- Types. Residential and mobile IPs come from home broadband and phone networks; datacenter IPs come from servers. Residential, explained →
- Connections. Every type works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. What those are →
- Sessions. A sticky session keeps one IP for a while, which suits logins. A rotating one changes it on every request, which suits long lists of public pages. Which do I need? → Static proxies →
- Limits. Only your IP changes, not your language settings, your clock or who you are when signed in.
- The rules. Stay within the law that applies to you and each site's terms of service. Acceptable use policy →
