Euro prices, Irish delivery and a bit of Gaeilge: why you might want an Irish IP

Ireland uses the euro, speaks mostly English online and has its own versions of many big websites, separate from the UK ones. An Irish IP address (the address websites see when you connect) lets those sites treat you as a visitor in Ireland. That helps with everyday jobs, from checking euro prices to testing an Eircode form, while the rules each Irish site sets stay exactly as they are.

Check Irish prices and delivery

Many shops run an Irish site in euro beside a UK site in sterling. An Irish IP usually brings up the Irish prices, whether an item ships to Ireland and any extra charges: useful for a gift to Cork, or to see if the Irish price beats the UK one.

Try your app as an Irish user

Irish visitors expect a few local details, and an Irish IP is an easy way to check that your own site or app gets them right: euro prices, a field for the Eircode (Ireland's postcode, a mix of seven letters and numbers) and Irish contact details.

Language and time in a nutshell

Irish (Gaeilge) and English are both official, so government sites offer both, and you may spot Irish place names such as Baile รtha Cliath for Dublin. Ireland shares London's clock all year, an hour behind Paris and Berlin.

What a proxy can't change

Things that depend on actually living in Ireland, such as a bank account or a PPS number (the personal number used for tax and welfare), stay out of reach. Each Irish site and app also keeps its own terms, and those apply in full whatever your IP says.

The basics, in plain English

Websites read your IP address, your connection's number online, to work out where you are. A proxy lends you one of ours from the country you pick; your language settings, clock, card and delivery address stay as they are, and sites you sign in to still know it's you.

  1. Choose a type and a small package below.
  2. Copy your login details from the dashboard into your browser, phone or app. HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 all work.
  3. Open our My IP tool to check the location websites now see.

Ireland proxies: first-timer questions

It depends which version of a site you want. Ireland is its own country with the euro, while Northern Ireland, across the border, is part of the UK and uses pounds. Websites treat them separately, so an Irish IP shows Irish versions of sites, and a UK IP is what you need for anything aimed at Belfast or London.
Not really. Almost every shop, news site and service you are likely to use is in English, and Irish-language pages usually have an English version one click away. The words you will meet most are place names, like Gaillimh for Galway, and a few official terms such as Gardaรญ, the police.
Start small: packages begin at 1 GB, and each order lasts 30 days, used or not. Text pages use far less data than video or downloads.
Tell us within 24 hours of delivery. We'll swap it for one that works or, if we can't, refund that part of the order. Used data can't be refunded.
