A beginner's look at Polish IPs, from ł and ż to closed Sunday shops
A Polish IP address puts you, as far as websites can tell, in Poland: prices appear in złoty, delivery options are Polish ones and Allegro shows its local offers. Remember what a proxy actually is, though: a server that forwards your browsing from Poland, not a Polish passport or bank account.
Price-check before you buy
Ceneo is a Polish price comparison site, and Allegro is Poland's big online marketplace. Through a Polish IP you can see their prices in złoty and what delivery to a Polish address costs, which is handy when friends or family in Poland ask you to compare offers.
Check your Polish-language project
A Polish IP is a quick way to see your own website or app the way people in Poland will. Does it switch to Polish, show zł after the price and accept postcodes written as two digits, a dash and three digits? Better to find out before real customers do.
Polish letters and Polish time
Polish adds nine letters with accents or strokes, such as ą, ł and ż, and many Polish sites are in Polish only, so your browser's translation tool is handy. Poland keeps the same time as Berlin and Prague, changing clocks on the last Sundays of March and October.
Looking is fine, rules still count
Poland's government app, mObywatel, and the Profil Zaufany (Trusted Profile) login exist to confirm who you really are, which no IP address can do. Allegro, banks and other apps set their own rules about accounts, payments and delivery, and those rules still apply to you.
Simple first projects in Poland
Whatever you use it for, the law where you live and each website's terms still apply, and our acceptable use policy lists what we never allow.
The basics, in plain English
Websites read your IP address, your connection's number online, to work out where you are. A proxy lends you one of ours from the country you pick; your language settings, clock, card and delivery address stay as they are, and sites you sign in to still know it's you.

- Copy your login details from the dashboard into your browser, phone or app. HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 all work.
