Istanbul proxies, made simple
Istanbul spans Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus. Turkish sites price in lira, and Turkey keeps one clock all year, with no summer time change.

Istanbul from a beginner's screen: ferries, derby days and what won't change
A proxy is a middle step on the way to a website: the site answers the proxy, not your own connection. With an Istanbul proxy, Turkish sites put the city's news, events and shop offers first. That helps when you're planning a visit, following Istanbul football or seeing what Turkish buyers see when they open your shop's page. Pages arrive in Turkish, often with an English switch.
Ferries and the İstanbulkart
Ferries cross the Bosphorus all day, and timetables, pier changes and İstanbulkart travel-card information are published by city operators, mostly in Turkish. Searching 'vapur saatleri', ferry times, from an Istanbul IP tends to put those local timetables first.
Derby days
Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş are all Istanbul clubs, and derby weeks fill local sports news. A local IP brings Turkish match previews and team news to the top. Tickets are another matter: league matches need a Passolig card registered in your own name.
Three steps to start
Choose a proxy type, set the country to Turkey and the city to Istanbul, then enter the connection details from your dashboard into your browser or phone settings. Last, check the result on any IP-lookup site, which should show Istanbul, before you start browsing.
What stays the same
No Turkish phone line, residence permit or bank account comes with an Istanbul IP, and it won't change what a ferry, museum or taxi costs you. It only changes the address websites see; Turkish sites' rules and your own country's laws stay in force.

Local broadband and mobile networks
Which type should I pick?
You buy data by the gigabyte (GB). Unsure? Residential covers most local checks.
Residential Premium
Selected residential IPs. For stricter sites.
Quick start in three steps
- 1 Buy a little data first
- 2 Choose the location
- 3 Connect, then test it
First time? The setup guide walks through each step, and our IP checker shows when it's working.
Good to know first
- Types. Residential and mobile IPs come from home broadband and phone networks; datacenter IPs come from servers. Residential, explained →
- Connections. Every type works over HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. What those are →
- Sessions. A sticky session keeps one IP for a while, which suits logins. A rotating one changes it on every request, which suits long lists of public pages. Which do I need? → Static proxies →
- Limits. Only your IP changes, not your language settings, your clock or who you are when signed in.
- The rules. Stay within the law that applies to you and each site's terms of service. Acceptable use policy →
